No Holiday in Chennai; Primary Schools in Vellore Declare Holiday Due to Heavy Rains

In a recent announcement, primary schools in the Vellore district have declared a holiday for students today, citing heavy rainfall and adverse weather conditions. This decision, however, does not extend to schools in the Chennai and Kanchipuram districts, where classes will continue as usual.
District Collectors in Chennai and Kanchipuram have confirmed that there will be no holiday declared in their respective areas.
As the monsoon intensifies, several regions in Chennai, including Marina, MRC, Nagar, Adyar, Thiruvanmiyur, Koyambedu, Redhills , Mogappair, Vadapalani, Kodambakkam, Nungambakkam, and others, are experiencing continuous rainfall.
