In an upcoming railway schedule adjustment, commuters traveling on the Chennai-Gummidipoondi route should be aware of significant disruptions. A line block has been permitted in the Chennai Central-Gudur section, specifically between Tiruvottiyur and Ennore railway stations. This essential maintenance work is scheduled to take place over two days, October 21 and 22, from 11 pm to 9 am, totaling 10 hours of service interruption.
Here`s what you need to know about the impacted train services:
October 21:
- Beach-Gummidipundi, departing at 10:45 pm, will not operate.
- MMC-Gummidipundi, leaving at 11:20 pm, will also be fully canceled.
- Sullurupeta-MMC, departing at 9:40 pm, will not run today.
October 22:
- Several MMC-Gummidipundi trains will be fully canceled, including those leaving at 5:40 am, 6:25 am, 8:15 am, and 6:50 am.
- MMC-Sullurupeta trains leaving at 4:20 am, 5 am, 5:20 am, 7:30 am, and 7:45 am will also be fully canceled on this day.
On the same day, the following EMU train services will be fully canceled:
- Chennai Beach-Ponneri, departing at 5:15 pm.
- Gummidipundi-MMC, with cancellations at 3:50 am, 4:50 am, 5:10 am, 8 pm, and 6:55 am.
- Sullurupeta-MMC from Sullurupeta at 5 pm, 5:40 pm, and 6:40 pm.
- Ennore-Tiruvallur, departing at 6.35 am.
- Ponneri-Beach, leaving at 6.45 am, and Ponneri-MMC at 7.50 am.
- Tiruvallur-Ponneri, departing at 5.20 am.
- Avadi-Ennore, with cancellations for the service departing at 5 am.
