Voter List Correction Starts Tomorrow: All-Party Meeting Focuses on Excluding Deceased Individuals!

On behalf of all political parties, it has been emphasized to the Chief Election Commissioner that the names of all deceased individuals MUST be immediately removed.

In accordance with the Indian Election Commission`s emphasis, correction activities on the Voters` List will commence tomorrow (Friday, 27th October) in the State of Tamil Nadu.

As part of this effort, the draft voters` list is scheduled to be released tomorrow (Friday, 27th October).

In light of this, Chief Election Officer Satyapradha Sahu conducted a review meeting yesterday (Wednesday, 25th October) with representatives from government-approved political parties at the Chief Secretariat in Chennai Metro City.

The meeting commenced at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, 25th October, and concluded by 1:15 PM. Representatives from the DMK, AIADMK, BJP, Congress, Marxist Party, Indian Communist Party, DMDK, Bahujan Samaj, and Aam Aadmi Parties attended the meeting.

During the meeting, Satyapradha Sahu emphasized to the Political Parties` Representatives that they MUST strictly adhere to and rigorously follow the Rules & Regulations and Guidelines.

Following the meeting, the DMK Party secretary, R S Bharathi, held a session with the press reporters and shared the following:

"A large number of citizens are involved in election activities. It is imperative that the necessary health and medical check facilities are made available to them. When they answer the call of nature, there is a risk of creating a disorderly law and order situation. To prevent this, the Election Commission MUST undertake and cover the expenses of setting up E-Toilets at appropriate locations."
