The passengers arriving from foreign countries after a long flight journey at the Chennai airport are unhappy now. It is learnt that the passengers are being forced to wait for more than an hour at the baggage claim point at the international terminal of the Chennai airport.
To get their baggage at the conveyor, many passengers especially from Middle East have waited for one to 2 hours also leading to overcrowding at the spot. This has made many senior persons to sit on the trolleys waiting for their arrival of their baggage. Inspite of the construction of a new terminal here, the experience of the passengers have not improved.
A passenger who has arrived from Dubai spoke about how the terminal might be new one and how she waited for 2 hours to get her baggage. She revealed that the absence of chairs near the baggage belt made the situation worse. She concluded that the immigration check was done fast but waiting for her baggage was gruelling. On their social media, many travellers have been posting their experiences now. It must be noted that a few days back some passengers who had walked out of the terminal about 2am in the morning waited for about an hour to get their baggage.
