Chennai`s suburban areas experienced a disruption in air services as a result of persistent rainfall. The ongoing rain, which commenced yesterday morning and extended into Chennai and its surrounding regions, led to the waterlogging of the entrance gate at Chennai airport. This situation resulted in inconvenience for passengers and their companions.
In addition, four incoming flights from Delhi, Bengaluru, Visakhapatnam, and Andaman encountered difficulties due to heavy rain, forcing them to circle in the sky before landing. As the weather conditions improved, these aircraft were able to land one by one.
Departures from Chennai were similarly impacted, with seven flights bound for destinations including Delhi, Rajahmundry, Siliguri, Pune, and Mumbai experiencing delays.
