Modernization of bus depots in Chennai by CMRL!!

The CMRL or Chennai Metro Rail Limited has decided to modernise 2 bus terminuses, namely the bus terminus present at K.K. Nagar and Anna Nagar west. It is now sad that the passengers waiting for the buses at these bus terminuses would be able to grab a snack before they board the buses.
For preparing a detailed project report or DPR, CMRL has invited tenders now for selection of the consultants. It was clear from the tender that TNIDB has identified 16 bus terminuses owned mostly by MTC for modernisation for commercial development and to upgrade the present facilities and infrastructure. Information is that 10 out of the 16 bus terminuses have been integrated with the metro rail phase- network as part of multi modal integration.
Some important works of the consultant:
The consultant selected would have to validate the data from MTC analyse parking traffic and parking surveys etc based on the growth rate projections of previous study. In addition, the consultant would have to propose implementation strategy for the project plus prepare suitable policy and procedure documentation etc
