It`s Destination America for the Indian students!!
In the last academic year, the number of Indian students pursuing higher studies in the United States of America or USA has increased by 62.6%. This was mentioned by the officials belonging to the United States embassy in Chennai.
From 13th to 17th November, International Education Week is being celebrated is known. The Open Door Report has been released by the US Embassy in Chennai. The event witnessed the participation of Chris Hodges, US Council general in Chennai, Consular officers Scott Hartman,
The Embassy Officers have told the reporters that from 13th to 17th November 2023 International Educational Week would be celebrated. An Open Door Report has been published in this regard. The report revealed that the number of Indian students going to the USA for higher studies have increased.
It mentioned that there were more than 4000 educational institutions across the USA. In the last 2 years, the number of Indian students for the academic year 2022-23 has increased by 35% than the previous academic year. In the same manner, UG students have increased by 16%, graduate students have increased by 62.6percent and OPT or optional practical training students have increased by 1.3%.
It is noteworthy that the Indian students select a particular course for studying and more students take up research studies also. The students from India and USA have been connecting beyond the Indo-US relationship and their lives go to another level. More Indian students show a huge preference to study in cities like California and Texas etc now. The Yes Project was introduced 10 years back and several students have benefited by this amazing scheme. By this scheme, many Indian students were sent to the USA and many students from the USA were sent to India to study at the expense of the government. Even now, 2 USA students are studying in Tamil Nadu under this scheme.
