Several localities in Chennai experienced widespread rains !!

The presence of two cyclonic circulations over the T coastal area has led to widespread rains in many places in Chennai yesterday. Important localities in Chennai like Guindy,Saidapet, Egmore, Purasawalkam, Central and Royapettah etc received light to moderate rains.
It must be recalled that on Monday, RMC in Chennai has mentioned that there was a possibility of light to moderate rains with thunderstorm activity at few places in TN, Puducherry and Karaikal etc for ten next 5 days from 20th to 24th November. For many areas belonging to Western Ghats and coastal districts etc, an orange alert has been issued by the RMC in Chennai for the next 2days.
