A public outreach programme Makkaludan Mudhalvar scheme was launched by the chief minister of TN Mr. M.K. Stalin. The objective behind this launch would be to simplify and speed up the delivery of various govt agencies. It is worthy to mention here that this newly launched scheme would resolve complaints in delivery of service pertaining to 13 govt departments within 30 days.
At the ward level the TN govt is planning to organise camps soon to collect petitions from the people and to address them. Information collected is that there are already 2 important public outreach programmes like Makkalai Thedi Mathuthuvam and Illam Thedi Kalvi etc. The bitter truth is that the public were unable to access the various services of the TN government.
It is now brought out that through the newly launched Makkaludan Mudhalvar scheme the govt officers would reach out to the public and not the other way around. The scheme would bring the people closer to the govt and it would make it clear that the TN govt and the people are not different entities. As a part of the scheme, petition camps would be organised across TN where many govt officers would be present.
By this scheme, all people would get all the services offered by the government and 13 key departments would be brought under one roof. Three important principles in this new scheme are speedy redressal, minimising delay and reducing documentation.
