Heavy rain affects flower sellers at Koyambedu

Due to heavy shower in the city, Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations and the upcoming Onam festival there is an exorbitant increase in the price of flowers at the Koyambedu market. Flowers sold for Poo kolams and Rangoli flowers are almost doubled in rate.
When discussed with Tamil Chelvan - one of the traders at the market, he stated that the heavy rain has affected their profit, especially due to the increase in the price of marigold. He also added that the prices of marigold are not increased like that of marigold.
