Possible Sewage Overflow in Parts of Chennai on January 24-25

Chennai Metrowater has announced potential sewage issues in Teynampet and Adyar zones on January 24 and 25. Improvement work involves interconnection of sewer pipelines on Adyar`s L.B. Road. The sewage pumping station on L.B. Road will be inactive from 10 a.m. on January 24 to 6 a.m. on January 25. Residents can report issues to Metrowater engineers at +91 81449 30909 / +91 81449 30913.
Water Supply Disruption in North Chennai from January 26-28
Residents in north Chennai, including Vyasarpadi, Tiruvottiyur, Ernavoor, Manali, Patel Nagar, and Madhavaram, may experience a temporary dip in piped water supply as the 100 mld Minjur desalination plant undergoes maintenance from January 26 to 10 a.m. on January 28. To mitigate inconvenience, residents are advised to store water in advance and book online tanker supplies if necessary.
