Starting of 177th year Thyagarajar Aradhanai Vizha at Thiruvaiyaru in TN!!

On behalf of Thyaga Brahma Mahotsava sabha, the 177th Thyagaraja aradhanai vizha began at Thiruvaiyaru in Thanjavur district yesterday. Superb welcome address was given by Mr. Haridwaramangalam AK. Palanivel.
According to the chairman of sabha Mr. G.K. Vasan the purpose of the festival was to spread the fame of Thyagaraja swami and carnatic music across the globe. He added that the aradhanai festival has been held well over the years. Point is that in 2024 the aradhanai festival would take place till 30th of January.
Mr Vasan then expressed his thoughts about the coming together of consecration of Lord Rama in Ayodhya and the Thyagaraja aradhana vizha in Thiruvaiyaru. It must be noted that Thyagaraja swami is an ardent devotee of Lord Rama. The reason why this festival is held so well every year is due to the efforts of all musicians, music lovers etc.
The City Union Bank chairman Mr. N. Kamakoty spoke about how the only one who has claimed to have seen lord Rama was Thyagaraja swami and that he has also recorded his experiences. Another secretary Mr.Srimushnam Raja Rao proposed vote of thanks. It is learnt that the festival began with the singing of Gayathri Venkatraghavan.
