In a significant move towards enhancing urban connectivity, Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has officially entered into a Contract Agreement with M/s Almondz Global Infra-Consultant Limited & M/s Four Wall Consultancy (JV Consortium) for the comprehensive "Preparation of Traffic Demand Forecasting Report." The study aims to assess the feasibility of implementing a Mass Rapid Transit System spanning a 10 km corridor, from the MMBT to the Nallur toll plaza.
The formal signing ceremony, held on January 30, 2024, saw Thiru.T.Archunan, IRSE - Director (Projects) representing CMRL, putting pen to paper along with Thiru. K R Kumar - President, M/s Almondz Global Infra-Consultant Limited, and Thiru. R. Thanigaivel - Project Manager, M/s Four Wall Consultancy.
The scope of work includes the meticulous preparation of a Traffic Demand Forecasting report, crucial for evaluating the practicality and demand dynamics associated with implementing the Mass Rapid Transit System.
