The parking space at the Chennai Metro Egmore Station changed from today - 5th February!

Starting from today, Monday, 5th February, the parking space provided at Chennai Metro Egmore Station has been relocated. This change is a part of the ongoing renovation and modernization project of the Chennai Egmore Railway Station, estimated to cost Rs. 734 Crores.
As part of this project, the main entrance of Egmore Railway Station will be shifted to Gandhi Irwin Road, with the back entry on Poonamallee High Road. Additionally, various related works such as refurbishing Railway Station Buildings, constructing commercial complexes on Gandhi Irwin Road and Poonamallee High Road, establishing a new Parcel Complex, and undertaking associated tasks are underway.
Due to these project activities, the current parking space near Chennai Metro City Egmore Railway Station has been relocated as of today. The Chennai Metro Rail Officials have informed that the new parking site is located in front of the Egmore Southern Railway Reservation Booking Office.
Passengers are advised to utilize this parking space effective from today, Monday, the 5th of February.
