Indian Navy`s indigenously designed and constructed guided missile destroyer INS Chennai is hogging the limelight now for this sensational reason!!
It is noteworthy that INS Chennai, constructed by Mazagon Dock Limited in Mumbai, is the third and last ship of the Kolkata class stealth guided missile destroyer. On 21st November 2016, INS Chennai was commissioned into Indian Navy is known.
In the ongoing anti piracy operations, INS Chennai has been actively patrolling in the Arabian Sea. Recently, it has foiled a hijacking attempt onboard vessel MV Lila Norfolk off Somalia Coast.
It is now brought out that this INS Chennai would be visiting Chennai 16th - 17th February. Information collected is that INS Chennai is being commanded by Captain Raghu Nair and is at present enroute to Vishakapatnam to take part in the upcoming exercise MILAN 2024 from 19th to 27th February. Point is that more than 50 counties would be participating in this exercise.
