Strictly no overloading – says RTO officials

There are nearly three thousand auto rickshaws in and around the Tambaram area. Right from the introduction of the new auto meters, the transport department officials have been insisting the auto drivers to follow the new fare regulations and install meters in their respective vehicles. Despite these instructions, there are several share auto drivers who have not used proper meters. The regular auto drivers state that these share autos and their cheaper fares hugely affect their business.
Further to this, the RTO officials have warned 150 autos and instructed them not to have overloaded in their vehicles.
