The summer season commenced yesterday (Friday, 1st March) throughout India.
The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed that high-intensity heat will persist in Tamil Nadu until the 1st week of June!
Here are the details of the notification released by the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre:
"A dry climate may prevail until the 3rd of June in the Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikkal regions.
There are prospects for mild rains in 1 or 2 places in Tamil Nadu and a few areas in Puducherry and Karaikkal.
The intensity of heat may increase by 2-3 Degrees Celsius tomorrow (Sunday, 3rd March) compared to the normal intensity in a few places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikkal.
The Chennai Metro City and its suburbs may remain partly cloudy for the next 48 hours.
The maximum temperature may reach 33-34 Degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature may be 24-25 Degrees Celsius.
It may be noted that with the above forecast, no warnings have been issued for fishermen.
