Diversions on account of subway construction

The Chennai metro rail project is currently on the go. As a step to construct subways, the traffic at Anna Salai and Poonamalli high road are diverted temporarily. There is going to be about 24 kilometers long subway between Vannarapettai and St. Thomas mount, and Central and Airport. As of now, about 8 kilometers digging work for the subway is done.
This subway will cover 18 railway stations on the whole. They are:
Vannarapetai Mandi, High court, Central, Arasinar Thottam, LIC, Thousand lights, DMS, Tenampet, Nandhanam, Saidapet, Central, Egmore, Nehru park, Keezhpakam, Pachaiyapa college, Shenoy Nagar, Anna Nagar, Anna Nagar tower and Thirumangalam
