Arignar Anna Zoological Park has launched a new initiative to enhance visitor experience and promote environmental sustainability. As part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy, the zoo has installed purified drinking water facilities at 12 locations throughout its premises.
The inauguration ceremony was led by Ashish Kumar Srivastava, Park Director, and Vishnu Khemani, Managing Director of Sharonply. The initiative aims to encourage visitors to use reusable water bottles by providing convenient access to clean drinking water, thereby reducing reliance on disposable plastic bottles.
Deputy Director H. Dilip Kumar, Assistant Director P. Manikanda Prabhu, and other park officials attended the event, underscoring their commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices. This initiative marks a significant step towards minimizing plastic waste and ensuring a more eco-friendly experience for all zoo visitors.
