2 new parks to come up in Central Buckingham Canal and in Porur Lake in Chennai!!

An amazing piece of news for the Chennai residents!!
At a cumulative cost of Rs 10 cr, GCC or Greater Chennai Corporation would be setting up 2 parks in central Buckingham canal and at Porur Lake. It is now said that the park in central Buckingham canal would have walkways, greenery, sitting places and play area for the kids.
There are certain areas that have been identified by GCC to set up parks. These areas are Lock Nagar, Wallajah Main Road,Palaniappan Koil Street, Singaravelar bridge, Mundakanni Amman bridge etc. Point is that there would be many native trees in the upcoming park at Porur Lake in south Chennai.
