Minister Ponmudi announced an increase in the number of applicants for engineering courses. Most students admitted under the 7.5% reservation quota are those who studied in government schools. There has also been an uptick in the number of students enrolling in both engineering and government colleges. Counseling for engineering college admissions will begin on the 22nd of this month, with admissions based on marks in the general category.
The counseling process for engineering courses will continue until September 11 and will be conducted online. This year, there have been more applications for engineering colleges compared to last year. Employability has improved through programs like "Naan Mudhalvan." Additionally, the Tamil Nadu government has signed agreements with foreign companies to boost employment opportunities.
