In response to the increasing passenger demand, the Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has expanded the parking facilities at the Thirumangalam Metro Station. The newly upgraded parking area, located just 200 meters from the station, was inaugurated today and is set to greatly enhance convenience for metro users.
The new facility provides parking space for 450 two-wheelers and 25 four-wheelers, complementing the existing parking area at Thirumangalam Metro Station, which currently accommodates 1,100 two-wheelers. With this expansion, more passengers can now park their vehicles conveniently and access metro services with greater ease.
The upgraded parking area was officially opened by Thiru. Rajesh Chaturvedi, Director (Systems and Operations) of CMRL. The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Thiru. S. Satheesh Prabhu, Assistant General Manager (Rolling Stock & Operations), along with other senior officials and staff of CMRL.
This initiative by CMRL aims to improve the overall commuting experience by providing better parking solutions for metro passengers, ensuring a more seamless and comfortable journey.
