Simplified procedures for passport application

Passport application and related tasks have always been tough all through. Breaking this convention, the government has facilitated the people with simplified procedures for fresh passport application, passport renewal, corrections in passports, etc. This has considerably reduced the time taken for obtaining the passport.
It is to be noted that between January 2013 and 24th September 2013, nearly 2,66,456 passports have been dispatched by the Chennai passport office alone. Considering the comfort for the people, new offices have been set up at Amaindha karai, Saligramam and Thambaram.
