Do you get pimples all over your face and find it difficult?
Do you know the fact that our skin could act as a mirror and it could show our internal health?
The appearance of pimples on our faces is not just a cosmetic issue but it would also reveal the presence of underlying health issues. It is noteworthy that in TCM or Traditional Chinese Medicine face mapping is being used to link various facial areas with the various organs inside our body. Point is that this idea of linking face with organs has been in use in TCM for more than 3000 years.
Various health issues that pimples on our face would reveal are
Pimples on forehead:
Many get pimples on our foreheads and this would indicate digestive issues like irritable bowel syndrome or IBS etc in us. Those persons who are highly stressed and do not get sound sleep would have pimples on their foreheads. Truth is that any imbalance in the digestive tract would be shown as pimples on foreheads etc.
Pimples on temples:
Our kidneys and urinary bladder are related to the temple area on the face. If we get pimples on temples, then it would indicate infections or inflammation in these important organs.
Pimples between eyebrows:
We all know that the liver plays an important role in detoxification. Not many would know that the area between our eyebrows would be associated with the liver. Point is that when pimples appear between our eyebrows then our liver is under strain due to emotional stress or due to toxins in the diet etc.
Pimples under eyes:
Our body`s hydration levels and stress are usually linked to the skin present under the eyes. Lack of intake of sufficient water is shown by the puffiness or dark circles or pimples etc under the eyes.
Pimples on nose:
It must be noted that in TCM the nose is divided into 2 sections with the left side of the nose relating to the left side of the heart and the right side of the nose related to the right side of the heart. Presence of redness or blackheads or oily etc would show the presence of blood pressure and cholesterol imbalance etc.
Pimples on cheeks:
It is learnt that the pimples present on the cheeks are associated with the stomach, spleen and respiratory system. Stomach inflammation is shown by redness on the cheeks. Sinus infections or allergies are shown by pimples or breakouts on the cheeks.
Pimples on chin and jawline etc:
Hormonal and reproductive systems are linked to the chin and jawline areas. Women could get pimples on their chin or jawline due to hormonal fluctuations during their periods.
