IAF to Hold Spectacular Air Show Over Marina Beach for 92nd Raising Day!

The Indian Air Force (IAF) will hold an air show over Marina Beach in Chennai on October 6, celebrating its 92nd Raising Day. This will be the first air show in the city since 2007. The event will feature 71 aircraft, including HAL Tejas, Sukhoi-30 MKIs, and MiG-29s, performing aerial formations.
The Akash Ganga skydiving team will kick off the show, followed by the Suryakiran aerobatic team, which returns to Chennai after 17 years. The Navy`s P-8I Poseidon and the Army`s Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) will also join the flypast. The theme for this year’s event is “Capable, Strong, and Self-Reliant.” A full dress rehearsal is set for October 4.
