Southern Railway Announces Special Diwali Trains for Chennai, Kanyakumari, and Sengottai Routes
Southern Railway has announced special trains to manage the extra passenger rush during the Diwali holidays.

Chennai Central – Kanyakumari (Train No. 06001) will depart at 11:45 PM on Oct 29 and Nov 5, arriving in Kanyakumari at 12:15 PM the next day. The return (Train No. 06002) will leave Kanyakumari at 2:45 PM on Oct 30 and Nov 6, reaching Chennai Egmore at 3:15 AM the following day.

Chennai Central – Sengottai (Train No. 06005) departs at 7 PM on Oct 30 and Nov 6, reaching Sengottai at 9:20 AM the next day. The return (Train No. 06006) departs at 7:30 PM on Oct 31 and Nov 7, arriving in Chennai Central at 9:30 AM.

Tambaram – Kanyakumari (Train No. 06049) departs at 12:35 AM on Oct 29, Nov 5, and 12, arriving in Kanyakumari by 12:15 PM. The return (Train No. 06050) leaves Kanyakumari at 3:35 PM and reaches Tambaram at 4:20 AM the next day.
These trains include AC, sleeper, and general coaches and will stop at major stations along the routes.
