Minister E.V. Velu conducted an inspection of the ongoing construction of a four-lane elevated road on Anna Salai yesterday. The project, being built at an estimated cost of ₹621 crore, aims to ease traffic congestion in the city.
The elevated flyover will stretch 3.2 kilometers, starting from Teynampet and passing through key locations such as Eldams Road Junction, SIET College Road Junction, Cenotaph Road, Nandanam Junction, and CIT Road Junction, before concluding at Saidapet.
Officials have confirmed that the project is progressing as planned and is expected to be completed within the next two years. Once finished, the flyover is anticipated to significantly improve traffic flow along this busy corridor of Chennai.
