Rs 21.82 Crores was allotted by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa crore for the purchase of medical equipments to Rajiv Gandhi General Hospital here and to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital.
Accordingly, Rs 3.40 crore have been allotted for the purchase of the 16 slice CT Scan with Fluroscopy and Biopsy Robotic Stool for the Rajiv Gandhi General Hospital and Rs 1.60 crore for the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital to purchase extra corporeal shock wave lithotripsy.
Similarly, Jayalalithaa sanctioned Rs 16.82 crore towards setting up of an integrated library cum administration complex and for the purchase of medical equipments in various departments of the government medical college and hospital in Tiruvannamalai district, which was inaugurated this year.
