New road to come up soon along North Bukingham Canal

An alternative road will facilitate the residents of North Chennai to travel easily into the city reliving from the congested roads. A road for 12 km will be soon laid by the water resources department which will offer the motorists a good relief soon to travel on the Manali expressway, Tondiarpet High Road and Ennore High Road which are always filled with heavy vehicles.
The road will be laid as the part of development activities undertaken by Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission. The work is expected to begin by this year end.
