Snake Park Trust Launches Wildlife Conservation Career Initiative

The Snake Park Trust has launched an interactive programme for school students, encouraging them to consider wildlife conservation as a career rather than just a hobby. The sessions will feature renowned wildlife experts discussing conservation strategies and funding.
At the inaugural session, carnivore scientist Ravi Chellam criticized corporate entities for inadequate ecological efforts and misuse of CSR funds. He emphasized scientific conservation, advocating for the translocation of Gir lions over the import of cheetahs. S Paulraj, Executive Chairman of CSPT, also addressed the gathering, stressing the importance of protecting local habitats rather than artificially altering ecosystems.
