Chennai corporation’s ambitious project gets flopped

The Chennai Corporation had an idea of making the city filled with greeneries all around. As a step, they wanted to plant about 6 lakh palm trees across the city. But, this ambitious plan may is at the risk of getting flopped.
This is due to the statement given by environmentalists and botanists that palm trees cannot be of great help in this regard.They stated that these trees have lesser canopy and hence cannot add much greenery to the city.
