On 17th April, the prices of vegetables witnessed moderate fluctuations at the Koyambedu wholesale market. Point is that the prices of some vegetables increased while the prices of others came down.
It must be noted that on 16th April, the price of lemon was Rs 70 per kg and it increased by Rs 30 on Thursday and was sold for Rs 100 per kg. This was mentioned by some vegetable traders at the Koyambedu market.
Point is that from Rs 25 per kg on 17th April, the price of drumsticks increased to Rs 40 per kg yesterday.
On 16th April, the price of beans was Rs 50 per kg in this market but the price increased to Rs 70 per kg yesterday. It must be noted that from being sold at Rs 70 per kg on 17th April, the price of peas increased to Rs 90 per kg.
It is worthy to mention that on 17th of April onions were sold for Rs 16 per kg, tomatoes were sold for Rs 15 per kg, potatoes at Rs 20 per kg, beet root at Rs 25 per kg, snake gourd at Rs 20 per kg.
