Prices of onions and tomatoes go up

Tomatoes and onions are used daily by the people. The rates have gone high. Koyambedu is the largest wholesale market in Chennai.
For the last few days the rates of onions and tomatoes have gone high. At the same time, the prices of brinjal and cabbage have come down. Majority of onions and tomatoes comes from other states. Because of Auydha Pooja and Bakrid, lorries were not operated. This resulted in the price hike of tomatoes and onions.
