All India Omni Bus Owner Association president Pandian has mentioned that special bus services connecting the city with 10 important places across the State will run at revised rates on occasion of Deepavali.
Addressing a press conference, Pandian said around 150 bus services will by provided at revised rates. He said that travelers would be charged Rs 1.50 per km on non-AC buses; Rs 1.8 per km on AC; Rs 2.1 per km for AC sleeper and Volvo AC; and Rs 2.6 per km for Multi-Axle between October 30 and October 31.
The special buses will be operated from Egmore, CMBT Omni Bus Stand and Perungalathur and special counters working between 10 am and 10 pm will be opened on Tuesday to facilitate easy reservation. Pandian added that the counters will function round the clock on October 30 and 31.
He added that all the 150 buses would be branded with the association’s logo for easy identification.
