Next time you have a power cut all of a sudden you need not panic, just call 1912 and complaint and things will be sorted hassle free.Tangedco is setting up with the proposed setting up of the state-of- the-art customer care centre.
All types of complaints can be registered at the centre, which will start functioning from January next year. The customer care centre would be manned by 30 operators per shift on 24X7 basis and funds for this facility would be allocated under the Restructured Accelerated Power Development and Reforms Programme (R-APDRP).
At present, the Tangedco runs a call centre, which could be reached by 1912, to register complaints on power supply failure. But the consumers could not register their complaints as that number remains engaged.
On an average, this call centre receives 8,000 calls a day and during peak summer, it touches 13,000 to 15,000 calls. The consumer complaint will be registered and forwarded to the 60 fuse off call centres in the city.
