World Class Facilities in Nehru Indoor Stadium

Ms. Dr. J. Jayalalitha, Chief Minister of Tamilnadu today inaugurated latest facilities that equals international standard in the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium. The new facilities include 8 artificial fibers running tracks at the cost of 3 crores, natural grass football ground in Rs. 47,50,000, artificial fiber indoor running tracks in Rs. 1,90,00,000, roads, two elevators, speaker sets, hostel for athletes, new stalls for media representatives, rooms, interior designs and much more.
Moreover, separate tracks and fields have been constructed to conduct javelin throw, high jump, long jump, shot put, disc throw, hurdles and pole vault. A new ladies hostel and a top class office for Sports personnel are the highlights of this stadium.
