The new BMW Z4 has been launched today. The facelift will incorporate minor updates in the form restyled bumpers, new chrome gills within the front flanks, a new alloy wheel design, and a new grille and headlamp design. On the inside, there will be subtle updates to the interior trim. The facelift, however, will not be restricted only to cosmetics. BMW will no longer offer the standard Z4 sDrive35i in India, instead it will sell the Z4 sDrive35is. The extra ‘s’ in the name stands for an extra 33bhp over the sDrive35i’s 302bhp and a bump up in torque as well (to 45.88kgm) from the car’s 3.0-litre, twin-turbo direct-injection engine. It will come mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
Prices haven’t been confirmed yet, but we expect the BMW Z4 facelift to cost around Rs. 75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
