Internet access to track ‘Amma Canteens’

Chennai Corporation
has tied up with Google Earth enabling the citizens to keep track of all 200
Amma canteens. Work enabling this facility has already started. All the
relevant details have been handed over.
On-line tracking
facility is already available in some of the leading restaurants in Chennai.
Once in operation,
the on-line browsing of Amma canteens will show photographs with 3D view with
360 degrees turning facility. The kitchen, dining, and the serving centres can
be viewed. Already hugely popular, the racking facility can be expected to make
Amma canteens even more popular. With the internet being available on the
mobile calls, the public can track Amma canteens from their cell phones.
