New Year Celebration: Transportation Route Changes in Marina and Elliot Beach
In Chennai, for the occasion of the New Year celebration, the alternative route changes are planned for the areas like Marina and Elliot beach during Tuesday night in the course of the bus and other vehicle transportation.
Regarding these diversions, below is the statement given by the
Traffic police department:
The barrier will be placed at the entrance of the Marina beach
to avoid public during Tuesday night 8 P.M.
The vehicles parked in the beach will be allowed to the exit via the
back side of the Light house. Transportation was not allowed in the route of
Kamarajar Street, Gandhi Road to War Remembrance symbol statute from Tuesday
night 8 P.M to Wednesday Morning 2 A.M.
Vehicles from the route includes: Dr.RadhaKrishnan road, Loyods
Road, Besant Nagar, Barathy Street, Valaja Road, Adams Road, KodiMaram Road,War
Remembrance Symbol statue are not allowed to enter the Kamarajar Road after
8P.M on Tuesday. The drivers can park their vehicles in the areas like, Rani
Marry College, Shivananda Road, Chepauk Railway station, Loyds road, Dr.Besant
Road.The 6th Avenue road near the Elliot beach was fully protected
against the vehicle parking after 8 P.M on Tuesday.
