Youth Health Mela 2014

The lifestyle practices of today’s Youth poses a huge public health risk for non communicable diseases which killed 52 lakh people in 2008, which is 10 people every second in India. Unless urgent steps are taken to reduce the lifestyle related risks for NCDs this burden will kill 6 crore people in the next 10 years. 

To address these challenges the Youth Health Mela is conducted to create a heightened awareness of healthy lifestyle practices. Dr. V. Shanta, Chairperson, Cancer Institute will address the Press on  Tuesday 21st Jan at 3pm
