Chennai Metro Rail tested on elevated corridor

The most waited thing has happened now. There was news that the metro rail will be tested on the elevated track, but it was not know when. Now the the much-awaited trial run on the elevated track from the Koyambedu depot took place on Thursday. Around 9 a.m., the train climbed the ramp from the test track in the depot and entered the elevated corridor. The trial run covered less than two km and did not cross the Koyambedu Metro station.
It will go through this exercise for another 15 days, after which the train will be tested extensively from Koyambedu up to Ashok Nagar, officials of Chennai Metro Rail Limited said.
