Super-specialty Hospital – Plan for Inauguration on CM’s Birthday?
Super multi-specialty clinic is located in Omanturar Garden.
The Health Minister,
Mr. Vijayabaskar and Ms. Sheila Balakrishnan, the Secretary-General visited the
hospital on Friday. They had a discussion and announced the possibility of
inauguration of this hospital on CM’s birthday, falling on 24th
February.
Rapid progress has
been made with full-fledged construction activities with the latest equipment
under installation. The super-speciality hospital will have all facilities as
in the AIIMS hospital in New Delhi.
A workforce of 200 is
deployed. It will be a 6-story hospital with 500 beds, 20 modern operation
theaters, 200 toilets, laboratories, and library facilities. Ramps will
facilitate movement of wheel chair and stretchers.
Latest equipment has
been imported from abroad. There will be special departments for diseases
related to heart, kidney, blood transfusion, etc.
The health minister
and the Chief Secretary had a detailed inspection of the progress made and have
pressed for early completion to facilitate inauguration on CM’s birthday.
