Central Government Employees Union on strike for 2 days from tomorrow

All Central Government Employees’ Trade Unions plan to strike work for 2 days following their demands that includes abolishing the proposed new pension scheme and to appoint a trade union representative as a member on the 7th Pay revision committee.

Atomic Energy department, Auditing department, Income Tax department, Customs department, and several other government institutions are participating in the strike.

BSNL employees are not participating in this strike. Around 1.5 Lakhs employees central government employees in Tamil Nadu are participating in the strike. 12 lakhs employees are participating in the country.

As for the Postal employees, leading associations NFPE, FNPO, All India Rural Postal Employees Union, and the Association for the Advancement are all participating. Postal related work may come to a total halt.
