BSNL has drive in state wide propaganda of collecting a comprehensive database of its landline customers in order to better serve its 3 Million landline and broadband users.
The newer
landline and broadband users have been submitted their E-mail and contact
number at the time of their setting up BSNL services; a bulky part of the
long-time customers has been so far to update their details, officials stated.
Main objective
of this scheme is to rationalize fault addressable mechanism via SMS alerts and
even the dispatching the e-bills, promotional schemes and alerts will be simpler

e-mail accounts yet they only have mobile number as the contact channel,
officials said.
