Disruption in Metro Rail Work – Supreme Court Order to Amputate Shops Opposite to Central

Metro rail work is hectic in Chennai. This work got disrupted because of the road side shops opposite to the Central station.

Hence, TamilNadu government has ordered the owners of the shops which are disrupting the metro rail work to inane the shops and surrender it to the Revenue department.

To against this government order, traders have filled the case in Chennai high Court. This case has been investigated by high court and put a check to the TamilNadu Government order.

On its continuation on behalf of TamilNadu government, the case has been filled in Delhi Supreme Court. This case has come for sitting yesterday which have been leaded by the Supreme Court judges A.K. Patnayak and Ibrahim Kalibulla.

Finally, judges came up with the judgment that the shops which are disrupting the metro rail work should have been removed by the TamilNadu government.Each shop owners should get three months solatium, based on the construction value of the shop from the metro rail administration.
