Short Message Replies for Public Complaints – Arrangements by TamilNadu Water Supply Drainage Board

Short messages on the steps taken up regarding the complaints concerning water and drainage problems will be sent to the respective claimants, stated by the Water supply and Drainage Board.

Recently Chief Minister J.Jayalalitha has initiated the plans on Chennai water supply and underground sewer at a cost of Rs.540 Crore. In addition, she has initiated Public Care centre and Modern control room at an outlay of Rs. 33 Lakh.

In this newly built Public care centre, immediate steps on public complaints would have been taken up by the respective officers. The respective claimants will be intimated either through short messages or via e-mails about the complaint’s registration number, complaint in charge officer and his/ her contact numbers.

Hence via these encroachments, the public can directly contact the complaint in charge officer.

In several areas like Alandur, Ambattur, Tiruvottiyur and Maduravayal, the new drinking water plans have been initiated at the cost of Rs. 380.50 Crore. Also Rs.81 Crores worth drinking water supply plant have been built in South Zone of Chennai and in Anna Park.

Furthermore at an outlay of Rs.86 Crores, underground sewer plant has been furnished. Because of all these modern advancements, approximately 19.3 lakhs people will be benefited.
