At the cost of over 153.45 crore, Tamil Nadu CM J. Jayalalitha, under the department of cooperation, food and consumer protection, has inaugurated various projects, buildings and modernization schemes on Monday. Below are some of those:
- A new office for Tamil Nadu State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission
- A new office for Consumer Disputes Redressal Centres for southern and northern districts of Chennai
- A new office for Assistant commissioner of civil supplies
- Integrated cooperative office within integrated collectorate complex in Dharmapuri and Pudukkottai.
- Warehouses of Tamil Nadu state civil supplies corporation in over 15 districts. These will have 64,200 metric tonne capacity. This costs around 27.4 crore.
- 840 warehouses for cooperatives at a capacity of 89,000 metric tonne. This costs around 95.14 crore.
- Inauguration of core banking solution at 783 branches of cooperative banks. This is done at a cost of 8.8 crore.
- Installation of CCTV cameras at 949 cooperative banks at a cost of 6.65 crore.
- Advanced self-service centers at Chintamani cooperative super market, Coimbatore.
