Chennai Corporation plans to liven up three city beaches with recreational zones- Public can send their feedback

Three beaches on East Coast Road — Kottivakkam, Palavakkam and Neelankarai — will get a makeover with facilities for jogging, cycling, roller skating along with modern facilities like open air theatre, zoo and sculpture gallery from this August.
Corporation officials said they are working to replicate the Marina model to attract tourists at these three beaches at an estimated cost of Rs55 crore. Tenders for the beautification plans for these beaches will be floated by July this year. Detailed project report is being prepared by the Padgro Consultant and would be finalized soon.
