Since not been digitalized, the RTI applications are getting mounted up in Ripon Building; which urges the Chennai Corporation to fetch up hands-on transparency revelation in the system.

In Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation disclose important records linked with 45 departments on its Website (www.pcmcindia.gov.in). It will be in a FAQ format.

The PCMC Website includes the details of the unauthorized constructions, reserved lands, and rates of construction material and so on. This system involves mobile application for tracking the public complaints and each of them will be dealt by the higher officials.

Also, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has kick off its new RTI Library, where people can visit on every Monday and retrieve documents concerning with contracts, minutes and agendas of council meetings.

Even though the Chennai Corporation obtains an average of 5,000 RTI applications every year from public, it fails to cataloguing and indexing the records.
The queries stating to delay in getting birth certificates to poor quality roads have been getting mounted up in the Chennai Corporation.

Delay in the replies of the queries was mainly due to the lack in the digitization of the records, stated by the officials.

Works for framing the building plan approvals and contracts in Corporation Website is in its peak.
