Supreme Court has recommended to BCCI that Chennai & Rajasthan teams should not participate in IPL-7.
IPL betting cases are on trial in the Supreme Court. The judges have recommended that Mr. N. Srinivasan must quit the post of BCCI President if proper trial is to be conducted. Otherwise, they have warned that the Supreme Court might order him to quit.
BCCI has announced that it is ready to take action as per the first stage report recommendations and to carry out the trials and also informed that Mr. N. Srinivasan is ready to quit BCCI president post.
The judges have also recommended that Chennai Super Kings &
Rajasthan Royals should not participate in IPL-7 and have asked for immediate
response from BCCI. They have also recommended that Mr. Sunil Gavaskar
can be appointed as the interim president of BCCI.
Th judges have further recommended that there should be no interference to BCCI from personnel from India Cements. Interim report on betting case is expected to be released tomorrow (28th March).
